This website is operated by Systasis Consulting Ltd, trading as Systasis Properties, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17255922. By using this website you accept these terms of use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms are not your works contract

These terms govern your use of this website and nothing more. They are not the contract under which we carry out work. If you instruct us, the terms that apply to that work are the ones set out in the written quote and contract documents we issue to you and which you accept. Where anything on this website differs from those documents, the contract documents take precedence.

Using this website

You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own use in connection with considering or instructing our services. You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, introducing malicious code, or using automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.

We may change, suspend or withdraw the site or any part of it without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or uninterrupted.

Accuracy of what is on the site

The content of this website is general information about the services we offer. It is not advice, and it is not a substitute for a site survey. We take care to keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that everything on it is complete or up to date at the moment you read it.

Descriptions of services indicate the kind of work we undertake. What we can actually do at your property depends on the survey, the condition of the building, access, and any statutory consents that turn out to be required.

Quotes and prices

Nothing on this website is a quotation or an offer capable of acceptance. We quote only in writing, and only after a site survey. A quote becomes binding when you accept it in writing, and not before.

Where this site refers to a fixed written quote, that means the price in the accepted written quote does not change for the scope of work set out in it. It can change if you ask us to change or add to the scope, or if something is found that could not reasonably have been identified at survey, such as a concealed defect. Any such change will be agreed with you in writing before the additional work is carried out.

Cancellation rights for consumers

If you are a consumer, meaning you are instructing us for purposes outside a business, and the contract is agreed away from our business premises or at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason.

The full information about that right, together with a cancellation form you can use, is provided with the written quote and contract documents we issue to you before you are bound. Those documents are the formal notice of your rights. This page is a summary and does not replace them.

If you ask us to begin work during the 14-day cancellation period and then cancel, you may be required to pay for the work carried out up to the point you cancelled. We will ask for that request in writing, so that both sides are clear about it.

These rights are in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires services to be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing on this website limits those rights.

Intellectual property

The content, design, layout, text and graphics of this website are owned by or licensed to Systasis Consulting Ltd and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or republish any part of the site commercially without our written permission.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on the general information on this website, as distinct from advice given to you directly in connection with your project. If you are a business user, we are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.

Our liability for work we actually carry out is dealt with in the contract documents for that work, not here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes about them fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
